PARTNER RELATIONSHIP

Those truly connected to the supplier base endure a significant stronger flow of innovation than other organizations. From John F. Kennedy, “Partnership is not a posture but a continuous process that grows stringer each year as we devote ourselves to common talks”.

Adopt at least one of these practices. If you have any other practice that might be relevant and not already in a compliance book, please share it with the community:

  • Pay all your service suppliers (labor intensive businesses) within 30 days of invoicing (

  • Pay all your suppliers smaller (in revenue) than your organization no longer than 30 days after invoicing

  • In your strategic sourcing approach, establish a % of purchases from lowest cost, establish a % for the best local supplier and a 1 to 5% for a supplier to be developed

 

  • Align your procurement and consumption decisions to your purpose (Comfama, Medellin Colombia – Improve the Middle Class from Antioquia – 5% of corporate purchases are invested in new local supplier development)
