CORPORATE GOVERNANCE

Form a Lao Tse insight we like to believe that Corporate Governance can be seen as “great act that were made up of smell deeds”. Governance is the representation of the ecosystem’s interest to create value for all stakeholders.

Adopt at least one of these practices. If you have any other practice that might be relevant and not already in a compliance book, please share it with the community:

  • Have at least one woman as a permanent board member in your organization (Goldman Saks new IPO rule)

  • Have a board as diverse as the population in the communities you operate (Conscious Business Journey suggestion)

  • Have an empty chair assigned at every board meeting as a reminder of how the organization’s decision might affect the environment (Conscious Business Journey suggestion)

  • Have an empty chair assigned at every board meeting as a reminder of how the organization’s decision might affect the customer (In every board meeting in Amazon HQ stands an empty chair. That seat represents the customer and the customer voice)

  • Have a representative from your employees (not union member) to be part of the boar meeting (example shared by The Motley Fool Financial Advisory Services)

  • Prior to board meetings, assign a task to each board member to participate in a work meeting on an active project within the organization so that the board member becomes more aware of the organizational culture, its projects and challenges (example shared by The Motley Fool Financial Advisory Services)

If you have a conscious business practice to share regarding Corporate Governance, please submit it through the the practice form
